Fair and transparent
Every name gets an exactly equal chance. The picker uses crypto.getRandomValues() — the same secure randomness browsers use for encryption — instead of a basic random function. When picking multiple winners, each drawn name is removed from the pool so there are no duplicate winners.
FAQs
How does the random winner picker work?
Paste one name per line, then press Pick a Winner. The tool uses a cryptographically secure random generator to choose one name fairly.
Is the selection truly random and fair?
Yes — it uses your browser's crypto.getRandomValues(), which is far more random than simple Math.random(). Every entry has an equal chance.
Can I pick multiple winners?
Yes. Choose 1 to 10 winners at once — each picked name is removed from the pool so nobody can win twice.
Is this winner picker free?
Yes, 100% free with no signup and no limits on the number of names.
Should I re-draw if I do not like the result?
No — re-drawing until you get a result you like is selection bias, and it silently turns a fair draw into a rigged one. Announce the rules, draw exactly once, and stand by the result. A one-shot draw is the only kind that stays unbiased.
How do I pick winners from a numbered ticket list?
Paste one ticket number per line, set how many winners you need, and draw. The tool draws without replacement, so each ticket can win only once — exactly how a raffle drum works, minus the drum.
Can the same person win twice?
Not with the default draw-without-replacement behaviour: each drawn entry is removed from the pool before the next pick. If your entry list itself contains the same person twice, clean it to one line per person first.
